Liana Liberato biography
To the Bone (Netflix)
Date of Birth: August 20, 1995
Galveston, Texas native Liana Liberato began her career in 2005 while attending a week-long acting camp in California. There, the charismatic and energetic young actress caught the eye of an acting agent who asked her to Hollywood.
That same year, Liana made her television debut in a small role on the hit crime drama, Cold Case. That led to more guest appearances and Liberato now boasts a resumé which includes stints on popular shows like House starring Hugh Laurie and Sons of Anarchy.
Her feature film debut was in the 2007 adventure film The Last Sin Eater , followed by a role in the straight-to-DVD feature, Safe Harbour.
It was her role in the drama-thriller Trust , directed by David Schwimmer and starring Clive Owen and Catherine Keener, that had critics taking notice of her natural talent. The film told the story of a young girl whose life is turned upside down by an online sexual predator and earned Liberato praise from the likes of the late famed movie critic Roger Ebert, who called her performance “remarkable.” Liana’s work also won herself the Silver Hugo Award for Best Actress at the Chicago International Film Festival.
Since then, Liana has been steadily accepting various roles in films such as Trespass starring Nicole Kidman and Nicholas Cage, Eraser starring Aaron Eckhart and Stuck in Love starring Jennifer Connelly and Kristen Bell.
Liana shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon and has over the past few years been in features opposite big name actors, including the comedy-drama Jake Squared starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Virginia Madsen, the Nicholas Sparks' drama The Best of Me (2014) alongside James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan, the Netflix Original movie To the Bone (2017) with Lily Collins and the indie drama 1 Mile to You (2017), with Tim Roth and Billy Crudup. She also starred in Novitiate (2017) opposite Melissa Leo.
