Peter Facinelli biography
Date of Birth: November 26, 1973
Facinelli, who was born and raised in New York, attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and worked as an actor there until he won a role in the telefilm After Jimmy, which took him to Los Angeles. Additional television credits include the telefilms Calm at Sunset, An Unfinished Affair, and The Price of Love.
Other projects include a starring role opposite James Spader and Angela Bassett in the sci-fi thriller Supernova (2000). The film chronicles the search and rescue of a deep space medical ship and its six-member crew, which finds itself in danger from a mysterious young man they rescue (Facinelli). Facinelli's other film credits include Can't Hardly Wait, Dancer, Texas Pop. 81, Telling You, Touch Me, Foxfire, and Angela, winner of the Filmmaker's Trophy at the 1995 Sundance Film Festival.
In 2002, he took a leading role on the Fox Action series Fastlane, but the series lasted only one season. However, he sprang to worldwide fame after playing Carlisle Cullen in the hit film Twilight. He has since reprised his character in four more films: The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.
Facinelli and his wife, actress Jennie Garth, have three daughters but in March 2012, they announced they were separating.
