Steve Gomer biography
Gomer took home the prestigious Filmmaker's Award at the 1994 Sundance Film Festival for his work as both producer and director of Fly by Night, the story of four young rappers who hope to use their music as a ticket out of the ghetto.
The native of Yonkers, New York, attended the State University of New York and taught acting and directing for five years at Princeton University. Although his roots are in theatre, Gomer's directorial film debut -- Sweet Lorraine -- garnered him the Sakura Prize at the Tokyo Film Festival.
