Temuera Morrison

Date of Birth: December 26, 1960

Born in Rotorua, in northern New Zealand, Temuera Morrison is of Maori, Scottish, and Irish descent. He made his screen debut at age 11 in the title role in the family film Rangi's Catch (1972).

However, it would be 12 years later that he returned to the big screen, in the drama Other Halves (1984).

Shortly after, he made his television debut, take on the role of Selwyn Broadhead on the 1986 TV series Seekers.

His first major film role was in the critically acclaimed feature Once Were Warriors (1994).

In 1996 his career took off, with roles in no less than five feature films, including Barb Wire featuring Pamela Anderson and The Island of Dr. Moreau starring Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer. He then appeared alongside Sandra Bullock and Jason Patric in the sequel Speed ​​2: Cruise Control (1997).

Six Days Seven Nights (1998) with Harrison Ford and Anne Heche and Vertical Limit (2000) starring Chris O'Donnell and Bill Paxton followed.

In 2002, he began his Star Wars adventure when he played Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones , followed Commander Cody in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005). He has also lent his voice to various Star Wars video games.

Temuera went on to appear alongside Canadian Ryan Reynolds in Green Lantern (2011) and appeared with Jason Momoa in Aquaman (2018). He worked with the latter again in several episodes of the Netflix series Frontier, which debuted in 2018.

In 2019, he played Powell in the family adventure film, Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019).

In December 2003, the actor had a serious motorcycle accident in New Zealand when he fell from his Harley Davidson and broke his leg in two places.

Temuera Morrison has a son and a daughter from various relationships. He is currently in a relationship with Ashlee Howden-Sadlier.
