Tuck Tucker biography

Tuck Tucker

Starting his career in animation, Tucker moved to Los Angeles soon after graduating from art school in Virginia.

He found a job as an assistant animator at Disney where he compiled a great deal of experience working on the Roger Rabbit shorts, and the full-length animated feature, The Little Mermaid (1989).

Moving into the realm of television animation, Tucker spent some time working on The Simpsons and The Ren & Stimpy Show. This work led to his association with Craig Barlett.

Barlett had a pilot deal with Nickelodeon, and invited Tucker to help work on storyboards for the kids' animated series Hey Arnold! The show was a hit and Tucker was given the chance to direct for the first time.

His directing was so competent that he went on to direct 100 episodes of Hey Arnold! - one of Nickelodeon's most popular series.

In 2002, Hey Arnold! The Movie was released, marking Tucker's directing debut in feature film.
