Tuck Tucker biography
Starting his career in animation, Tucker moved to Los Angeles soon after
graduating from art school in Virginia.
He found a job as an assistant
animator at Disney where he compiled a great deal of experience working on
the Roger Rabbit shorts, and the full-length animated feature, The Little
Moving into the realm of television animation, Tucker spent some time
working on The Simpsons and The Ren & Stimpy Show. This work
led to his association with Craig Barlett.
Barlett had a pilot deal with
Nickelodeon, and invited Tucker to help work on storyboards for the kids' animated series
Hey Arnold! The show was a hit and Tucker was given the chance to direct
for the first time.
His directing was so competent that he went on to
direct 100 episodes of Hey Arnold! - one of Nickelodeon's most popular
In 2002, Hey Arnold! The Movie was released, marking Tucker's directing
debut in feature film.
