From Day 471 of when the aliens landed on Earth, to Day 476, when so much had already changed for the Abbot family, we go back to Day 1, when aliens first crash-landed onto the streets of major cities. As people screamed for help, they were quickly eaten by the monsters, who only hear their prey. As soon as people realized how the aliens could sense prey, the world became quiet. Deadly quiet.
