When drag queen Russell (Thomas Duplessie) breaks up with his partner, he goes to live with his grandmother Margaret (Cloris Leachman) in the country, who welcomes him with open arms. Margaret's health is declining, but she doesn't want to live in a nursing home, so Russell takes care of her while working as a drag queen at a local bar, as well as seeking a new relationship.
