In the official trailer for Marvel’s Iron Fist, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) returns "from the dead," however, it seems as though no one recognizes him. Danny shows off his impressive martial arts ability when security tries to remove him from the building. We learn about Danny’s tragic backstory in a flashback — after a deadly plane crash, he loses his parents and becomes stranded in the mountains.
Danny's father's business partner, who has taken over Rand Enterprises, wants to know why Danny is back, and where he learned kung-fu. It is revealed that Danny has come back to face off against the criminals and other evil forces that have infiltrated his father’s company. He must fulfill his destiny and protect his family’s legacy as the last of the Defenders.
