In the second official trailer for the Netflix series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) are lounging by a pool, giving orders to two boys who are holding parasols over their heads and offering them drinks. Luke (Scott Patterson) appears wearing a Lifeguard shirt and tells them, "You're shameless." The scene changes and Rory says to two small children, "It's showtime!"
We then see several key members of the cast in crisis. Rory doesn't know what to do with her life. Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop) is grieving the loss of her husband and Lorelai, even though she has Luke, somehow feels dissatisfied with how her life has turned out.
