Marco Gentile (Joe Pantoliano) experiences an epiphany at work and realizes he must travel back to his hometown of Acerenza in Italy. When he arrives, his wife is notified he closed her retirement account and is using the money to find his purpose in life. After speaking with many people throughout the city, Marco realizes the city isn't what it used to be 45 years ago. He decides to revive an old vineyard, which in turn will help him reconnect with his wife and the rest of his estranged family.
