Tiffany Moore (Jessica Brown Findlay) needs an inexpensive flat quickly after her boyfriend breaks up with her and wants her out of his place. Leon (Anthony Welsh) works nights as a hospice nurse and needs money, so he comes up with the idea of sharing his flat with a roommate who can have the place all to themselves from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. in the morning and weekends, when he stays over with his girlfriend.
Although they haven't met by the time Tiffany moves in, they begin to get to know each other as they exchange notes in regards to the rules of the flat.
