As the official trailer for Netflix's The Ivory Game opens, we're told the following: "Africa's got 700 tons of ivory. It's being moved across continents, being sold under the table. It's fuelling international crime." Images of guns being loaded, safari vehicles driving on dusty roads and elephants gracefully grazing fields are featured.
The trailer continues as we see the ivory trade move from Africa and centralize in China. We also discover how deeply ingrained the business is in the regions its practiced. There's one man who holds the destiny of elephants in his hands, and we learn that there's currently "a race against time" to save elephants from poachers and in essence, extinction.
