i thought that this movie was horrible! what was with those awful english songs?! i am indian and i think that bollywood movies are a lot less painful to watch. aishwarya and martin made a good couple though. bend it like beckham was a better movie.

i am now an avid fan of Bollywood, no more of Hollywood for me, there`s just to much of everything in the US, its a great change to have different kinds of movies. not all are romance but there good as well. Keep up the good work India!!!!

The movie was a really enjoyable film to watch, due to the beautiful costuming, locations and multitude of colour. Ash is so beautiful and is such a joy to watch on the screen. The movie left a big smile on my face!

This movie was okay. It`s definitely not as good as Bend it like Beckham. I haven`t watched many bollywood-type films, but this movie tried to tie-up the loose ends within the last 5 minutes of the film! Having seen the preview first, I was really excited to see this movie. In the end, it was disappointing but I wouldn`t go too far by saying that it`s terrible. Definitely one to watch on DVD or cheap theatres.

This movie would have been a lot better if they stuck to the traditional Hindi music instead of the horrible music that was in it. when you have more than half a cast singing english songs when they cant even speak proper english it rather funny. aside from that the movie was ok.

Being an Asian girl growing up in the States, it is great to see a beautiful woman that is not sterotypical of the hollywood image, i.e. reed-thin dumb buxom blonde, that wins the heart of the handsome leading man.

I love Bollywood movies, however I was disappointed by this movie. I am a purist when it comes to classics and IMHO classics like "Pride and Prejudice" should not be altered or mutilated. Aishwarya Rai looks good as always, however she is not a good actress. Loved Gurinder Chadha`s previous movie and was frankly disapointed with this one.

i loved this film, but u have to like Bollywood to appreciate it. i loved Aishwayra Rai, she is beautiful and natural, and I hope she doesn`t become the typical prototype hollywood star. I loved her sense of fashion, and the fact that she stayed covered up! Her modesty is very sexy! i give it 5 stars. for what is was it was great!

Loved the movie....If you love "Grease" you will love this version of Jane Austen`s classic story of love, class and arranged marriages. AR is beautiful...I hope she stays just as she is and is not drawn into "Hollywood`s" idea of what women should look like - i.e. skinny. A fun movie I want to see again and again.

At first, I was skeptical about watching the movie from the reviews that I read, but the movie actually turned out to be very good! I liked it a lot. It was intertaining and I liked everything about it. From the sites of India, to the family, the traditions, the dances, and the songs. I gave it a 4, and I wouldn`t mind seeing it again in few years, because it is a good entertaining movie.

Movie was good, I think the plot needed some work, the ending was a bit awkward as was the villan. As far as AR goes, I dont think she displayed the typical Indian girl properly. Her sense of fashion in the movie was horrible and she needs to shed a few pounds if she wants to crack hollywood. Otherwise...ofcourse she has a beautiful face, but who doesnt these days.

The actors and the actresses did a good job, but there was too much singing and dancing thoughout the film. If you have not been exposed to the Indie culture before, this movie could be boring.
