I cant belive that some people gave this movie such a hard time!! I really liked it....such a nice change from other movies you see these days. I love the fact that this movie takes you to another place....even if its only for an hour.

It was alright....It didn`t give alot away in the commercials, which I liked. Ummmmmm, maybe scarier it would have been better. It was NOT NOT NOT a horror movie! The only part that kinda freaked me out was when they were looking it the mirror and saw the eyes. Also when he tried to turn on the light and it just flash and you saw the shape of the thing. Wasn`t so hot...... I`d have to say but not the worst movie I`ve ever seen.

What was Shyamalan thinking when he came up with THIS? Boring and nonsensical. Don`t waste your time or money. His other movies were not bad but this one`s not even rent-worthy.

i think the movie was a weak attempt to intice people in a fantasy that is so outragous and lame. older films have done far better. and now im truly convinced that his movies are shadowed by his one and only truly great film, the sixth sense. he should reinvite himself some how, the trill is weak and the mystery just isn`t compiling there are to many holes in this plot. yes its a fantasy yes its a movie, but i wanna believe and this movie just didnt do that for me at all. i liked the themes and what he trys to convey, the message was good but the delivery was bad.

i am a great fan of m night shamalon and have not yet entered the theatre for the lady in the water picture. Since most of the comments are on both sides, I will ask you this: are there any 16 and up teenagers on this website to give me feedback on the film. the critics say it is bad so i am waiting for a teenager to tell me that it will be worth my money.

Another beautiful fim from this director! He is not only a brilliant story teller/writer but a great director.Whenever I watch one of his films I feel like I am in a dream.

I was saddened when I heard from a friend that this movie was panned by critics on CNN. The CNN reporter said that Lady in the Water was a "self-indulgent turd of a movie", but I disagree. I am a huge M.Night fan and litterally "wait" for his next movie to come out. There was nothing wrong with this movie. It was fun. It was scary. It was different. I enjoyed it very much and to me that is what going to the movies should be all about.

NOT A HORROR MOVIE. People seemed disapointed that it wasn`t scary, but it was rated PG, come on, people. I thought it was a very intriguing, unusal movie. It was great to see something original for a change!

I really enjoyed Lady in the Water. I thought it kept you on the edge of your seat. You never knew what was going to happen next. You had to guess and it was a real enjoyment to see. This goes for all the people that said they didn`t like it...It was great

Brutal, I loved sixth sense, unbreakable etc. However, this movie is just terrible. There are too many parts that have you just slapping your forehead thinking `why oh why are they doing this`. It tries to be something like a cheap version of never ending story but really doesn`t even come close. This is a fantasy film without any travelling or interesting worlds or fx etc. Even that style Shyamalan has that makes you `jump out of your seat` is seen a mile ahead here and only peaks out once or twice. I ended up just wanting to finish it and see how bad it could be (I laughed) but this was a waste of good money.

What a shame it is that people become too adult or too jaded where they cannot suspend logic in lieu of a wonderful and fanciful story. I suppose wookies, laser swords and space ships flying at the speed of light would be outside you rrealm of a good film as well. Go to this movie and enjoy it for what it is. A wonderful TALE with great acting and enough simple twists to keep you entertained. IT IS FANTASY, NO MORE...........

Even though this movie was not exactly what I was expecting, it was a pleasant surprise. An urban fairy tale disgused as a thriller, this movie was surprisingly touching and humerous. Nice change of pace from most of the comedies and thrillers that are being produced.

I really enjoyed this movie. It isn`t very often that you get to walk out of a movie feeling better about life, and not be slapped back into reality at the theatre doors. Every one has a role in life; there is room for mistakes, but everyone can still make a difference, even if no one outside our wee little street, complex, neighbourhood, family knows who the heck we are. We are all just a pebble in the water ... Let the ripples go out for the good of others.

I am only 12, but let me say that Lady in the Water was the most amazing movie I`ve ever seen. It`s the only movie that ever made me feel happy and heart-warmed inside. I have the sound track and whenever I`m in a bad mood, I listen to it and the music always cheers me up. I don`t know why it`s getting sush bad ratings, but it shouldn`t be. Since I`ve seen Lady in the Water, everything in life seems easier. This movie is definetaly a movie to see in the theaters!

Lady in the Lake is "dead in the water".Mythical creatures,giant eagles,a "nymp" living under a swimming pool in Philadelphia,(Gee what happens when winter comes and the pool is drained?Off to Miami?)Suspend all sense of logic(even if this is a bedtime story),leave your hard-earned money at the door and wonder what happened to MNS after The 6th Sense.He even has an extended role and maybe that is the "twist" that we have come to expect.A faiing grade all round.

Amazing plot twists which are familiar in Shyamalan`s works. Great and talented cast, incredible effects, a story to make the heart soar. This is truly a masterpiece.

Kind of boring - but M. Night is so cute! He`s in this movie a lot and he can actually act, well sort of. :) Overall, a great Tuesday `poverty-night-at-the-movies` romp but not totally a waste of money.

Very rarely does one ever come across a movie where you actually leave the theatre a little more enlightened. More people need to think about their lives and where they are going, and that it is okay if you don`t think you are good enough. I think certain groups in this world should see the metaphor in this movie. Everyone one of us is searching for our place in the world just like Story and everyone else in The Cove. Would the world be better off if we helped eachother instead of pushing ourselves down? If you walk away from this movie confused or wishing that you could get back that two hours you wasted, maybe it is the feeling you get

This movie was AMAZING, I loved everything about it, comedy and thriller hasn`t been so well mixed! I think the best part about the movie was that the actors portrayed themself to be real, and human, unlike most movies, they had quirks, and weren`t perfect, and they made mistakes. I think it makes the movie more enjoyable, and makes the movie seem so much more real.

What was with all the bad reviews. I only went because this was the only movie playing at the time I hit the theatre. I had predecided to hate it because the reviews just trashed it. But,and it`s a big but, I loved the movie. Was completely caught up in the story. Moral of the story, see for yourself, sometimes the critics get it wrong.

I thought that M. Night Shylaman did an amazing job yet again. It was also cool to see him star in his own movie yet again with a more specific role. My heart was pounding when those scary and unforgetable moments did occur throughout the movie. This is one of the best movies he has done yet. I would like to see more of this M!
