  • 5 stars Very though, dark movie... If you are interested in the real life in todays Russia,- this is the one. It is about betrayal and falsehood, it is about brutality and bureaucracy of the authorities' , about the culture and traditions of vodka drinkers . The language is full of ribaldry, - this is the lower level of conversations and communications you can imagine. The life that is portrayed in the movie is not an exception, this is a common case in todays Russia. A great movie, very well done .
  • 5 stars Great movie!
  • 5 stars Leviathan is perhaps the most poignant at modern Russian life seen in film today. The film has more than one conflict, but it begins with that of Kolya, a hothead landowner, and corrupt mayor Vadim who's trying to take this property away from him. The film criticizes Russian culture, but more importantly the corruption in the bureaucratic society. A must see.
  • 5 stars Simply beautiful!
  • 5 stars The great Russian movie done by genius Russian director for Russia and whole world to see. The truth and reality, the beauty and horror, love and pain for motherland and people. I can only hope that KGB and the church will not kill him in a car accident.
