Drivil. I left after 20 minutes. My wife saw it through but didn't seem impressed

I typically love this era and style of movie, but really didn't like this one....incredibly boring

witty & fantastic. Beckinsale is wonderful and Stillman is in fine form as usual.

A bit of fluff, but entertaining. Worth seeing if you can't get to a baseball game.

This movie was without any question the worst I have ever seen. There was no excitement, no story and ended up stupid. Don't waste your money to go and see it

Slow moving. Good costumes and history.

This movie is for anyone who loves Jane Austen. It is found in the wit in the repartees , in the rapid dialogue that engages you and in the keen observations on the frailties and complexities of our human condition, especially as regards affairs of the heart, social standing and need for financial sustenance. Based on an early novella of Austen's , it unrolls as acts of a play with conversations that had previously occurred being alluded to and understood to have taken place. As a lover of Jane Austen, I enjoyed the wit and finesse."

This movie is a simple minded exploitation of Jane Austen's style without her content. The characters came and went with no purpose other than to confuse us. At the end of the film I was the one who felt exploited. Don't waste your time or money.
