I enjoyed the movie a lot, especially knowing that the couple who produced the movie did so on a very low budget, without any studio backing, with relative unknown actors, and, best of all, without any cheesy special effects. Anyone who has ever gone diving could relate to the couple in the water. Don`t go if you expect a Hollywood glitzy, computer animated, production. Go if you just want to see a good scary movie made by someone like you and me.

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and had it not been for the fact that I am a scuba instructor, I would have walked out. I just wanted to reaffirm to any of my students who ask how much hype/"hollywood" was put into this film. Any person who has ever dove will reassure you that so MANY things are wrong with this film, and the true story is not known. This is pure supposition with poor cinematography, and weak plot and lukewarm acting....but go see it if you must. I can think of a bunch of better ways to spend 87 minutes. At least the popcorn was good!

This Movie will definately stay with me for a while... After reading the story behind this movie and watching the movie I think that the couple who made this movie did an excellent job in filling in the blanks and made it as true to life as possible. They did so bringing in the mystery of the story with out any of the scandel. BRAVO!!

That was the worst movie I`ve ever seen. Thank goodness I only paid 4.25 or I might have made a scene and given the other people in the theater some real drama. I cannot believe that this movie is still being shown in theaters...shame on the cinemas. GARBAGE!!!! PURE TRASH.

Movie sucked would have enjoyed much more if they showed more than them floating in the water which by the way made me sea sick!!! Should have shown more of the locals realizing they were gone and trying to find them.

For reasons unknown to me I can`t stop thinking about this movie. How would I feel if I were stuck out in the middle of no where with Sharks all around. I expected the movie to have more suspense and actual shark attacks, however, something has caught my attention.

This movie was terrifying. I will NEVER go in the ocean again! Those actors deserve some kind of award because they made me feel like I was in the water with all those sharks. Long after it ended, I kept thinking about it and how horrible it must have been for those people.

Don`t waste your money. We were sucked in by the ads and media hype and were thoroughly disgusted when we left. This was "cinematographers-fresh-out-of-school" looking for a quick cash grab with media manipulation... and we were the suckers. Don`t get fished in!!

Look, I won`t lie, if you`re coming to this movie looking for exciting action and vicious shark attacks, you`ll be disappointed. BUT if you`re keen on seeing the psychological effect of two people stranded in the middle of the ocean as well as the scariness of the unseen underwater, then this movie will satisfy your cravings. I have this little fear of open spaces, like water, so this film had me white knuckled three quarters of the time... sharks not included. And lemme tell you, it was really refreshing to see REAL sharks! No more choppy mechanical Bruce (which, although, still was pretty scary in Jaws) or really fake looking computer g

To those who liked it: Obviously you`re closer to your own mortality and you understand REAL fear, not the platter-fed scare tactics used today. At some point in your life you`ve probably felt truly helpless, so you can relate to it. To those who hated it: You`re young, at an age where you still feel indestructable. You haven`t experienced the real world TRULY on your own yet. And hey, it`s about two people in the middle of the ocean, what did you THINK you were going to see? Explosions and aliens? Not as good as I expected. Poor filming and angles, pointless scenes and not so good acting. It felt like a home video and got pretty boring. Not a lot of action, wasnt scary, and a very bad ending! Dont waste your money going to the theatres..wait to see it on dvd if you really think you want to see it.

This movie definitely will turn heads of those who are mature and able to feel for the victims... Aren`t people tired of other movies that hide its crappy storyline with special effects? I don`t know how people can think that the Blair Witch Project was good and think this movie was bad. It had the same feel to it. This movie is definitely a refreshing change and the fact that it is very realistic sends shivers down my spine.

Why do ppl who like this movie have to assume that those who didn`t enjoy it must be immature? I attend movies to escape reality so I don`t give a rat`s tail if this really happened. The production was poor and I don`t care if they had $500k to spend. If at least the acting were better, or if the shots were breathtaking, I wouldn`t mind that it looks like a 6th grader held the camera. This movie was so pitiful, they had to resort to full frontal nudity in one seen to keep`em watching. Again, if there were something good at this movies core, I could overlook the beer budget. I absolutely hate this movie ! it was the most boring movie i have ever seen. it was like i paid 9:00 to see a movie that wouldn`t even be good enough for the discovery channel. the acting was terrible and the ending was STUPID . don`t waste your money seeing this . don`t even waste 4:00 to rent it . it was a terrible movie.

I think that eveyone who has ever went diving can imagine the horror of being abandoned accidentily from a "tour" group. What they went through to keep alive and their spirits high can only we can only imagine and left to the script writers they did an amazing job. Look it is obvious the ending credits were designed to place the horror at its highest. Excellent film!

I don`t know what is wrong with people, this movie was made with a budget of $500,000. How can you expect a luxury special effects? it is a real story that happened in the ocean, but filmed in the river, that is all, you guess the quality of the movie.

The younger crowd will likely spurn this movie because of the lack of special effects and gore, but for the mature moviegoer it is certainly a vivid experience. I did leave the theatre feeling angry and frustrated. Not at the movie, but rather the situtation the characters found themselves in. I connected with the characters more than any movie I have seen recently, and found myself reflecting on it for days.

This movie is only for those of us who knows how to sit back, relax, and let loose in the world of these two lost souls. It is directed in a way where it allows us to feel what they feel, fear what they fear, and ride silently through their course of emotional turbulence. As we are reminded of our own vulnerability, we realize that despite our intelligence, humans are powerless and defenceless, and ultimately defeated in this war against nature, as well as fate.

This is a low grade B mvie not deserving of being in a theatre.The photography is of poor quality and the shark attacks poorly done.Whoever rated this as a 5 star movie must be related to the director.

One of the worst movies of all time. It is definatly up there with the avengers and all those other horrible movies. Boring, not enough nudity and a horrible camera, i knew it was going to be a live-action camera, but not that bad quality. Please dont watch it6, and if you do, say bye to your money.

after I saw this movie, I couldn`t get to sleep... THIS MOVIE ROCKS! there`s no special effects and hollywood glamour to attract and scare to audience it is the plot, and how they show you how easy it is to be left in the middle of the ocean that frightens you the most. I almost cried at parts and the shark scenes left me squirming in my seat.

Do YOURSELF a Favour: Sit yourself down quietly in front of this movie, and let it happen. It is a rare slice of REALITY that is so hard to find. No boring manufactured thrills. It hurts 20X more than they portray. The ending isn`t something to fear - it`s sweet, I`ve been there. Deserves only credit. Thank you. We`ll see it again.

I thought the movie Was awesome!!!...i mean you really felt their feelings....it seemed so real like you were watching a real event happening...so close to real life it was terrifying to watch..and feel so much anger about the careless care they were shown on the boat they were on ...this had a flare like the movie with Tom Hanks in that island stranded movie he made....intense intense....

This is not a big budget movie, wich means there are no special effects. If some of these people were a little smarter, they would realize that this movie is not gonna be like Jaws or Deep Blue Sea with all the gore and super shark action.I thought the use of real sharks in the movie was cool. This is not your typical hollywood blockbuster and i think that`s what makes it so special. It takes a little patience and a certain midset, but if you give it a chance its a great film. It really hits home and makes the viewer realize how delicate life really is, and how the most unforseen thing could happen to you in a second.
