The horse in this movie looks nothing like Secretariat. One star.
very good!
A great family movie for everyone to enjoy.A good wholesome movie with great actors.
Predictable story line but wonderful acting!
I've always loved DIANE LANE - no matter what she's in.
exceptional movie. total surprise. to date, one of my top three films of this year, and i have seen everything.
Really enjoyed the advanced screening this past Wednesday. One can't go wrong with the story ... it made all the headlines years ago, and one also can't go wrong with the casting to boot. Diane Lane, John Malkovich, and more. Enjoyable film!
"He is moving like a tremendous machine!!". Excellent movie. Diane Lane was great. The races were so exciting, even though I knew the outcome beforehand. As good, if not better than Seabuscuit. As for the predictability...it IS a true story...so if you know anything about Secretariat nothing comes as much of a shocker, but still exciting none the less! Getting to know background info outside the races was very interesting.
I was take my son to movie,it was good decision.we both loved it.
This may very well be the feel good story of the year (this year`s The Blind Side). Diane Lane and John Malkovich turn in very strong performances. The acting is generally very good. Whether or not you know the story, you should enjoy the way it is played out on screen.
Excellent. Loved it.
This movie was fantastic. The acting was superb. I had of course heard of Secretariat before, but did not know the whole story. It kept your attention the whole way through the movie.
it's very good family movie.
I thought that, as in Seabiscuit, the horse would be the main character. However, not in this predictable and cliche version of what it takes to be a four-legged winner. Diane Lane seems imprisoned in her 70's hairdo as the script is imprisoned in this Disney-fied version of Secretariat's life and times.
SECRETARIAT WAS AN ENJOYABLE MOVIE.IT WAS A LITTLE SLOW & A LITTLE LONG.I AM SURE THAT PENNY ENCOUNTERED A LOT MORE OPPOSITION THAN PORTRAYED IN THE MOVIE.IT WAS AN INTERESTING STORY BECAUSE IT WAS BASED ON TRUE LIFE INCIDENT.IT WAS GOOD OF DISNEY TO GIVE THE REAL PENNY CHENERY A CAMEO IN THE MOVIE.
Once again Disney has delivered again! The movie is entertaining the whole way throughout. The cast was chosen correctly and all fit the roles well. This is a 2 thumbs up true story and heart warmer!
Great movie. Nice to see a movie without violence, that the whole family can enjoy. I will recommend it to all my friends.
A very enjoyable "feel good" movie for the entire family.
Made me laugh a made me cry
A highly successful, feel-good film that will introduce audiences to one of the world's greatest athletes of all times - who just happens to be a horse. But it is just as much the story of Penny Chenery, Secretariat's owner, carving out new ground during the early days of women's lib, in the old boy's club of Southern USA's horse breeding, and Diane Lane conveys that steely will wonderfully. Definitely worth a trip to the theatre - despite a little Disney-fying. The race scenes alone are spectacular.
it was a very good movie and enjoy it very much
great family movie
Excellent Movie. Great acting, lots of well written and interesting scenes and filled with true movie entertainment. A movie for everyone with a feel good sensation when you leave.
Amazing
NOT ENOUGH OF SECRETARIAT;DIDN'T HIGHLIGHT HIS SPECTACULAR ACHIEVEMENTS ENOUGH;SHOULD HAVE SHOWN HIS PREAKNESS AS A LIVE RACE;DIANE AND JOHN;BOTH VERY GOOD,ESPECIALLY DIANE.
good movie/enjoyed the cast
One of the best movies Ihave seen lately, I enjoyed very much, thank you!
This is a show for the whole family. The costumes are great and the cinematography excellent. Emotional and gripping.
i enjoyed Secretariat. i enjoyed all the acharacters and the depiction of the horse races were incrediable.
Very good movie, great story.
I liked it, didn't love it. A bit too "Hollywood" but I have to admit, it still worked on me.
An entertaining movie, good for the family.
Wonderful family movie that is heart warming and inspiring.
Great Disney movie, Diane Lane was great, as was 'Lucien' and 'Ronny'. Good movie for all age brackets.
Amazing, stunning movie suitable for the entire family. Go and see it with your kids and your parents!!!
beautifully set
There was a lot of applause at the end of the advance screening I saw. Very enjoyable movie.
Great family show that brings back great memories of a great horse who had everyone talking back in the 70's! It was great to relive it with a great cast and exciting race sequences that had us cheering in our seats!
Wonderful movie. Worth seeing again & again.
Having followed horse racing since I was a youngster, andhave seen all 3 triple crown races when they were run on TV I was excited to see it all again. Truely an amazing athlete is how I would describe this horse, but the entire store that I did not know was very interesting and made me feel great for the success that all achived.
Disney has a way to pull at your heart-strings. It's a good family movie for 8 yrs+. But the story line is a little predictable.
The movie felt a little too shmaltzy for my taste.
excellent
Too much Penny Tweedy and not enough Secretariat. I guess it was OK, but it would have been better had they focused a little bit more on the horse.
A wonderful Disney movie for the all ages to enjoy. Very strong performances from all cast members with high notes to Diane Lane and John Malcovich. You'll fall in love with Secretariat!
Movie was great...very touching.
Secretariat is the perfect movie of the fall. I highly recommend everyone to go see it. 5 stars
Secretariat was a wonderful movie, I cannot remember a more thrilling conclusion, and this is from someone who was quite familiar with this amazing horses history. The background material made it so much more than a typical animal story.
This was a moving and inspirational movie, with moments of great excitement. It was thrilling to feel part of the race with the jockey and horse.
Wow, this is getting great ratings & buzz - ranks up there with the best horse movies ever made, don't you think?
