I watched SAW the night before. SAW was good, the grudge was garbage. I can`t believe someone decided to re-make this film. Its one of those funny horror movies because it is so stupid its funny. Don`t waste your time. Go see SAW.

I saw this movie it was scary but one part did not make sense. when Sarah`s boyfriend calls his own apartment asking Sarah if she had gone to that house, and told her he was going to look for her there. It would have been better if he had called her cellphone and left the message there.

this movie only got some parts that make u bounce up the seats...but other wise, is nott scary...typical japanese movie...girls with long hair...if u see the ring, it might juss be the same...so is pretty lame...got a really really bad ending too..so predictable...juss like halloween resseurection...mann...don go see it..cuz is so bad

This movie was lame. It made little sense, some scenes were not put together very well. The timeline was sparatic, too similar to Ringu. Sarah`s character did not allow her to act to her full potential, actually all of the actors didn`t get to truly show there acting abilities. If you were looking for a good movie, pass on this. If you want to learn a little bit of the Japanese culture, this movie at least show it a little bit.

This movie could have been great but never tried. It had creepy imagery and many great ideas. It was like a homework assignment that started with great ideas and thought but someone forgot to finish so they handed it in half completed. I give it a C.

Wow, this movie was totally creepy... there were scenes that i just jumped from the sudden scare... the plot was kinda hard to follow, but the scariness was definetly up there

This movie just might be the scariest movie I have ever seen. The images from this movie are likely to replay in your mind for some time to come. I haven`t seen a scarier scene than the stair case scene at the end of the movie. Basically, this movie will make you scared of everything: staircases, glass reflections, attics, bathtubs, even your own bed! Loved it!

Certain parts were very scary. However there`re parts that are just so typical it made the group of people i was with just laugh. The ending was weak, could of been a whole lot better. For some strange reason i cant wait till a part Two to come out.

Disappointing to say the least. There was no typical horror movie twist, and the movie desperately needed one. The plot was laid out right before your eyes, no guessing involoved. It is too bad that horror movies now have to be so simple, just so people can understand them. Isn`t it more frightening when you DON`T know what is going on??

I don`t know why people are complaining. This movie was deffienetly better than The Ring (which also happens to be a copy from a Japanese movie). In any case, I`m glad the plot wasn`t in a linear chronological order; it made it that much more interesting. The music was PERFECT, effects were GREAT and the ending was exactly how a horror movie should end. Make a copy of a tape? Now THAT was dumb.

Horrible movie, would mabye have been scary if it made sense. Just a bunch of random deaths linked by the weakest storyline. It comes across as a crappy version of the Ring (same baddy I think too?!?!). Either something was lost in the translation from its japanese version or it just wasnt good to begin with 1/5.

Wow, all of the heavily biased reviews stating that"this move wasn`t worth the $13.50" and all that must have been written by people with absolutely no experience with cultures outside of their own White America. Having seen a few japanese and chinese films (like "my left eye sees ghosts"!!!), I can say that one would need to have a certain appreciaiojn for culture and style to the the skill and competence with which this movie was made. It was a fantastic feat os cinematography. Chilling, engaging... You actually have to be kinda smart to grasp what`s really happening throughout the rather convoluted storyline. I thought that the movie was really good. Very creepy. I am glad that my husband was with me because I was clinging to him most of the movie. Better than the ring. Can`t wait for the sequel.

Save your money. Movie is very slow and boring. Used every idea from the Ring that they could get away with. Maybe worth a rental. Sarah Michelle Geller needs to get better roles or she is not going to survive on the big screen for much longer

I was expecting a really scary movie. There is not no story to this film, It is a waste of money, I wouldn`t recommend it to anymone, even for free tickets. Don`t waste your time or money, go to Taxi for a good laugh

After seeing The Grudge we have a new rule. If everyone in the theatre is 30 years younger than you, run, don`t walk, to the nearest exit. Would have saved us 90 minutes of our lives that we can`t get back. Bad bad movie.

The movie was good,, not one of the scariest I`ve seen,, they give too much away on the comercial,,but I loved the way they changed the sequences of events,, it was very well directed,, some people were lost watcbing the movie, but I found it really intersting in a director sort of way.. The special effects were ok, but it was suspensful,, a bit like Nightmare on Elm street,,,you cant get away from the Grudge.. cant wait till the sequel...

No story development, no character development...just a whole lotta hoopla that leads you all over the place. Buffy the Vampire Slayer had better special effects,and much better storylines. Completely disappointed by this movie.

For those of you who think the movie dosnt make any sense or dont know what its about, I recommend you watching it twice as the film`s technique is to make a nonlinear timeline and not some straighforward plot. Its creative and new, and if this version dissapoints you then see the japanese version cuz that one has more scary stuff in it! Also for those of you who think there is no ending..well thats because there is a sequel..The Grudge 2, which is already in Japanese that continues the story. If you still think its not scary, why dont you try watching it by yourself one night (and make sure yer under some blankets) once it comes out for rent

It was not a bad movie. i see scary movies all the time so some of the scenes were predictable. I laughed a bit, but it was kinda dumb. A better ending would of made it better. I still get the chills when im alone. Overall it was an o.k movie. I would rate it 2 or 3 /5. id go see it again. But with my boyfriend.

Scary? No. Creepy? Yes. I had mixed feelings after this one. The CG was poorly done, but the makeup was excellent. It felt a bit like The Ring with a few drawn-out suspense scenes, but it worked--at times I was squirming in my seat because of it. Problem is the story can`t be pinned down, it was all over the place. Too many factual holes. Perhaps the thing that I liked the most is that it`ll make you feel uncomfortable to be in the one place you usually feel the MOST comfortable... your bed! You`ll know what I mean if you see it. I don`t know how the opinion/stars got pushed so far to 5 or 1, because I`d give it a 2.5 out of 5.
