The Island is a fantastic film,laugh out loud,grip your seat,hold your breathe and sigh with relief moments.I thought it was also thought provoking with some very real issues.Mr.Bay you did a superb job and Ewan and Scarlett I thought would not work as a romantic couple but I was so wrong ,it was a perfect match ,great work. Go see this movie.It is awesome.

Good show with special effects and better than the sixth day. Ewan and Scarlett are the amazing partners to play the escapes.

I have to say I went to see The Island specifically because I am a Ewan Mcgregor fan.I was on an adrenalin high when I left this movie.I absolutely loved it.All the actors did a fantastic job and the effects ect.were spectacular.Very,very impressed,I am. Bravo to cast and crew a job well done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After Matrix part 1, i thought there will be no movie which will keep my interest till the last moment, but watching "The Island" was a treat. The story is Amazing. Micheal Bay keeps you in movie at all time. Absolutely Brilliant Movie, and not to forget some amazing Action scenes. As I have always described Micheal Bay keeps his political interest impacted in the Moral of the Story....WELL DONE SIR

Don`t listen to those who hate it. I was amazed. The special effects were amazing but the story plot was excellent. At least it isn`t one of those movie whom doesn`t focus on the story and play around with special effects a lot. This one doesn`t. 5 stars from me. Brillant. *****

I went in with high expectations, this almost always leads to disappointment, not this time. The effects served the story rather than the reverse. Brilliant to look at, lots to think about. Great movie.

This was an okay movie. It did however start off pretty slow and was kinda boring but it got better as it went on. Does make you think though which was good. however I did not think the acting was good. Scarlett did not know how to act and neither did Ewen even though he was a tad bit alright. This movie had alot more potential..maybe better actors. Sean Bean was awesome though!!

Good movie if you`re looking for an escape from reality. This movie must have been heavily financed by advertising endorsements. There must have been at least 10 ad placements in the movie. Selling everything from water to cars. This is the only thing I found annoying after awhile in the film.

This film contains elements of THX-1138, The Matrix, 5th Element, Logan`s Run, and Bladerunner, all mixed together with what is actually a really good story with the typical Michael Bay look about it, and some absolutely stunning production design. If i ever win the lottery Nigel Phelps can design my house !! The movie is really worth seeing, good acting, no cheesy lines, only a couple of "Hollywood-isms" as i like to call them (the future still has regular guns and not enough cool looking cars, bad guys with scopes on their rifles still cant hit a target, and people falling from buildings get up and walk away), but apart from a few quibbles,

Action-packed, romance, and societal issues all wrapped under one brilliat directed film!!..All 10 fingers up and bravo for such a great job in conveying such senstive issues such as pro-life, cloning, and humanity in a movie that was full of special effects, great casts (Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson), and an amazing story line and character scripts. The subtle yet very obvious point of humans will do anything to survive is surreal. The director, Michael Bay, deserves a standing ovation!

This movie was better than I had anticipated. The Island and Batman Begins are by far the two best films so far this year. The director Michael Bay, gives us a really new and fresh visual look on human cloning and the plot was very well written. I have to say that the action sequences in this film absolutly blew my socks off. I sat there with my eyes and mouth open right to the floor. Deffinetly some of the best action and car chases I have seen in a very long time. This movie was one of the few films worth every penny to go and see. Average Rating: A

Only a movie the Micheal bay can make, awsome movie, the action was perfect, and Micheal Bays trade-mark awseom car chase scenes were once again surperb...but im sick and tired of cridicts trashing Micheal Bay and saying his a bad director, whats with tha!?!?, his made some of the best action movies of all time! how can you not say that the 30 minute car chace scene in "bad boys 2" (witch he made) where cars fly off the to-truck and there dogging them, is not tottaly amaing, he puts so much hard work in his movies, so some cridicts are just wrong!...go c this movie, its very good with a satifying ending and amazing action scenes, espechally t

This was an awesome movie.i didn`t no what i was in for cus of the critics so/so reviews, but it truly was great.It was a movie that treated your eyes to amazing action scenes with outstanding special effects.The storyline was one that made you really think, and the message is something we all have to confess," people will do anything to survive" 4/5 stars

4/5. Awesome Movie! The story is intriguing and makes you think a bit too. The action is top notch, car chases, bullets flying, scenes shot to perfection. Ewan and Scarlett have wonderful chemistry onscreen and are both comsunmate actors. Watch it on the big screen, you`ll be glad you did!

Good movie with lots of action, but MAN, when there IS an action scene (even a running chase scene inside a building), there`s often so many fast camera moves and blurred motion that it`s really hard to absorb what you`re supposed to be seeing. But overall, pretty good with some interesting reminders on medical and media morality.
