Before the "Other Guys" movie comes out, to prevent us paying our good money to see a stinker like "Airbender", we should boycott any more Will Ferrell movies. In the past I have wasted my time and good money to see bad acting. I think Hollywood has gotten lazy for easy money. Boycott the "The Other Guys".
I really like it, good special effects and story.
Boring movie. Fight sequence not too exciting and actors were unbelievable.
The absolute WORST M.Night movie ever laid hands on. He better rethink his career because this mess destroyed any residual goodwill he had left over from The Sixth Sense. His choices of bad dialogue, bad acting, bad story, bad special effects, just plain BAD..rests on his shoulders as he so boldly announces in the credits: Produced, Written, and Directed by....him.
Terrible movie. Bad acting and a terrible job of 3D. However, it was an incredibly faithful rendition of the series.
Glad it was just Book 1. The 3D effects not spectacular though.
Terrible, bad acting, average special effects, bad story line, just bad bad bad, where do I get my money back.
this movie was absolutely AWESOME. it captured me in so many ways. it made me want to watch the next one to see what happens. the graphics are stunning and the cast was well chosen.
I thought it was good other than some cheesy acting in some parts
Maybe producers should stop giving this man money to direct movies . He seems to produce one dud after another
This was so disappointing. I was so looking forward to this movie. The acting was bad, the script was bad, the special effects were good to ok at times. The story was told badly, the acting was horrible. It truly sucks that this is how this movie had to go :(
M. Knight had a real challenge with this movie. Namely that of turning a long and complex story with several minor events and plots all weaved in the luxury of an episodic format, into a single cohesive storyline. And without the in-between shows luxury of "time passes and then...". And I think he did that rather well. Even managing to still take advantage of giving an episodic feel to the movie. While there were of course scenes from the series I wish had been included, all of the most important events took place, and it left me feeling the general impact of what was going on very clearly. Overall, it left me satisfied and eager to see what gets done with the next two movies of the
It's awesome!!! I'm looking forward to watching the second and the third which are the earth and the fire
Although we got 3D glasses, there was not much in the way of 3D effects to warrant them. It was an action-packed fantasy and that's what we got!
Not good, from the special effects to the story line... not good!
This movie was horrible.... Fans of the show should not watch this
Too much hype for nothing. Movie too slow for me, although the FX were great. Not the kind of movie I would normally recommend to anybody, unless you are a fan of Airbenders.
he's lost his touch.not as good as his other movies.
I thought the movie was great.
As to be expected with this sort of film, the acting leaves much to be desired, as I find with most movies relying on child actors. If you can get past the often hurried and amateur feel of the dialogue, you do get a solid show out of the action sequences. I'd say this movie succeeds despite the actors, and will likely see the sequels.
I thought that the visual effects were incredible!
THIS IS THE WORST MOVIE EVER!! SERIOUSLY DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!! I RATE IT A -500
Fantastic effects. Not sure 3D added more to it. Kept pretty true to the animated series. Good casting.
I would give it zero if I can, save your money and time.
He's losing his touch, this movie is not as good as other movies he's done.
This was a highly hyped movie and it did not, in my opinion, deliver. Cannot recommend this movie, sorry. The storyline was weak and the acting even worse.
very slow and boring. Nearly fell asleep. Some good effects but it definitely needed more editing to tighten it up.
this was the worst movie ever it was so bad i wanted to go 10 minutes into the movie the acting was so bad please don't waste your money it's not even worth renting it
A well anticipated movie that really has shown the highlights of the animated series. The 3D was very fake feeling though, but it didn't stop me from enjoying it 100%! The fight scenes were very well done, definitely made me feel like I was at the edge of my seat. The character bio wasn't fully described within the movie, so I have no clue if people that hadn't watched the series, would be able to feel the well put storyline that was in the animated series. M Night Shyamalan is not known for producing children movies, and I do believe this is the first step in the right direction. Hopefully he'll continue to finish the movie trilogy, as I will be waiting for them! I wanted to see Toph,
not a bad movie just terrible dialogue. Not worth watching in 3d there was no 3d. a renter thats about it
the worst acting of 2010. Total waste of money suitable for <10y kids, I never see people "booing" a movie at the end like this!! so long Night!!
Occasionally fun movie but not great. Not one of M. Night S.'s better movies. Worth seeing though.
Hey, 2 good movies in Summer Vacation 2010 is better than 1 (THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE)! I didn't like the animated show, but the movie is definetly WORTH SEEING!
This was a highly hyped movie and it did not, in my opinion, deliver. Cannot recommend this movie, sorry. The storyline was weak and the acting even worse.
did not follow the cartoon.. rushed movie - poor acting bad graphics bad story overuse of green screen, super fake effects.. in short I don't know whats worst this movie or dragon ball
The movie was alright but i found it to be not very deep. My son really enjoy it and he had followed the animated version.
I love all of M. Night Shylaman's films and this one is no exception.
I watch this movie last night at the premier. I was excited to see it because the trailers were so well done. While the special effects were pretty good and some of the action scenes were entertaining I found this movie very juvenile. I don't mean written for children, I mean written by children. There was no depth to any of the main characters. I wanted to get immersed into this world but alas I remained in the real world, uncomfortable in my seat and annoyed with the guy if front of me that was so important that he couldn't stop answering text messages through the entire movie.
lookout you gotta a hit on your hands!
