Too loud

May 07, 2015

On the few occasions I've seen movies here in the past few years the sound has been so loud as to be painful. Last time I wore earplugs, which helped, but why is it so loud?! Would like to bring my kids once in a while but have heard from friends the kids movies are equally as deafening.

Get a grip

March 30, 2015

To the person who said "Very Up Set", obviously you couldn't buy tickets for Next Saturday on a Sunday, they haven't even decided which movies they're showing yet. Give the theatre a break, the movies are chosen each week and change each Friday so give them some time and don't fly off the handle, if you have grandchildren you should be old enough to realize new movies come out on Fridays, you used to have to check the paper on Friday to see what was new, they didn't let you know on Thursday or anytime before that because they only decide early in the week after the box office results are in.

Very Up Set

March 30, 2015

I was there last night, stood in line for 15 Minutes as there are never enough people working the stand, to find out I couldn't buy tickets for next Saturday. Talked to Manager with absolutely no help at all. I Guess I Will Take My 3 Grandchildren Somewhere Else For Easter. I Don't Go Often But When I Do The Service Is Always Poor And The Lines Are Always Long But You Don't Care Its Plane To See

Reserved seating is ridiculous and you know it

March 29, 2015

This theatre's fine overall, I guess. The biggest problem is the stupid reserved seating they have for all showings. It is near impossible to go to a movie with a group of friends because we have to buy them all at the same time. Once I went with a group of friends and we all went to buy our tickets together one by one and in between two of us, the row we were buying tickets from were sold. When we went into our showing, there were three of us, a random family of four, and then the other two of us in the row. We weren't even given the heads up by the employee. Every person I've talked to that goes to the theatre agrees that the reserved seating system is not effective and obviously flawed. Get rid of it!

TICKET MACHINE NOT WORKING

February 24, 2015

I wanted to go to see a movie and was surprised to find out that no one was working until 6pm. You would think it would be possible to have 1 person working for the afternoon. I went in around 1pm and the couple in front of me could not get the machine to accept their debit card. Then I tried and could not get the machine to work. The other one had a sign on it that it was out of order. The couple left without tickets. I left without tickets. A man was behind me and tried to help me purchase tickets. He was still there when I left but the man behind him left without tickets. I went back around 5pm. There were 3 people in front of me. One man finally got his tickets after I don't know how many tries. The next woman was still trying when another gentleman and I got fed up and left. In the time I was there I am sure the theater lost the amount of money they would have paid someone to work the afternoon. It certainly would discourage me from going to the movies if I can not get tickets.

Movies what movies!

February 03, 2015

Since cineplex took control of the theatres, we have seen so many new problems arise such as: lack of cleaniless, customer service, a non-user friendly website but our biggest complaint is with the outside of the building. At the corner of McAllister Drive & Westmorland Rd there is a huge free standing sign that use to display the movies playing, now theres nothing. On the building itself there was 2 areas that use to display the movie titles, now nothing. It makes alot of sense to display this information for persons passing by. I know we would see something on the signs and it would entice us to go to the movies. Something we may not have planned on doing. Why do you want to hide what movies you are playing?

Barely adequate

January 05, 2015

This theater is in need of some TLC. The ticket machines are often out of order which defeats the entire purpose of online purchasing. The lobby is grimy and old. Once inside the theater it is fine, probably because it is so dimly lit, but given the high cost of this type of family entertainment I expect a "nicer" experience.

Dirty

December 17, 2014

This place is crying for a new manager! Complex is dirty, understaffed, machines are broken. Easy to tell there is no competition in town other than customers waiting for the DVD release.

Oh No!

December 17, 2014

My husband and I couldn't go back to Ontario this year to be with my family for Christmas. So I was looking forward to a quiet day, going to see "Into the Woods" at the movies. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that it is not showing here on Christmas Day, or probably ever, seeing as there are very few GOOD movies that are shown here. Here's to a crappy Christmas. Thanks, Cineplex! Humbug!

Deafening

November 23, 2014

I tried to watch a movie there this evening and spent most of the movie with my fingers in my ears. It was so loud it hurt! I had trouble making out what some of the words were because it was so loud. Horrible experience!
