Thearte needs to be cleaned and updated

This theatre hasn't changed since it opened, other than the UltraAVX theatre. The seats are ripped and dirty from people wiping their hands on them and floors are sticky with pop and dirty with napkins and popcorn all over the place. Last time i was at the theatre on a weekend, the lineup was out the door and they had ONLY ONE person on the till, it was ridiculous, we even asked and the young fellow didn't know what to say, but we did notice someone who looked in management come up beside him and look at the long line and walk away and did NOTHING about the situation even though people were complaining. It shouldn't take 20 mins to get a popcorn either, the concession lines are way too long and the concession staff are too slow, on simple orders. We go the movies early and still barely make it for the opening of the movie. Where is security??? We have been approached by people waiting outside the theatre for the people leaving and asking for money and coming up to cars and checking to see if they are locked or not. Don't get me started on the lobby, boring, outdated, compared to other theatres in Ontario, they put this theatre to shame.

THEATRE MANAGER PLEASE READ!!!!!! I don't know who you have cleaing the theatre, but when we were there just recently, its was filthy. Popcorn all over, pop dumped all over the floor. The seats have stains and grease marks, you didn't even want to sit on them. There were blood stained napkins in the holders, just disgusting. Please keep in mind, people would like a decently clean movie theatre, and not sit in someone else's filth.

Good times???? where is security.

Good Times??? Many people have spoken to management and workers and they keep saying its not their problem. But it is...if you have a business you are responsible for their safety . They don't seem to care as long as they're making money. So dont assume no one has said anything as they have many many times. and obviously you dont go as often as others, because most times the theatre is disgusting, the seats have popcorn grease all over them, and the floors are so sticky that your shoes stick to the floor. BTW management please bring back the security guard, i am sure you can afford it.

Dirty and old looking movie theatre

I have been to many a movie theatre and this one in particular needs a major facelift. Its looking dirty, sticky floors, dirty and ripped seats.The area to sit down to eat is bare minimum at the very least. Please update this theatre and give back to the community!! Ohh and please do something about your concession lines and ushers ( they should be coming and looking around for eg. cell phone use)

Dirty theatre, no usher doing their job, and long lines even when you go early!!!!

Who cleans the theatres???? Dirty seats, sticky dirty floors, garbage left in the cup holders!!! and it usually smells of garbage. I never see ushers coming in and seeing if people are using phones, which if you didn't already know they do all through the movie, light is very distracting, and its not my job to get up and miss the movie to go find an usher. DO YOUR JOB!!!!!! why do we have to line up with concessions when I am not buying food or drink to pay cash for a movie????? I watched this young man take over 15 mins for one order, and it was a very simple one at that. This theatre needs to take lessons from the ones in Toronto and area, just because you're the only show in time doesn't mean you can give a poor performance of a job, thinking people will comes back. I am embarrassed by this silvercity. Get with the program.

Rude customer service

There was a power outage on Sunday July 29th before our movie started so we were told to hold onto our stubs and come back to exchange after sitting in the dark for a few minutes. We returned the following Sunday to see the movie and exchange our stubs for tickets. The girl working called over the manager which was a very rude lady with blue hair. She asked how much of our movie we missed which we said the whole thing. Her response was the power was only out for 15 minutes. She was extremely rude about it and reluctantly gave us passes to see the movie. She ruined the day for me, there was no reason to be so rude to a paying customer. We did what we were told and she flat out called us liars.

Why are decent movies being pulled early
August 25, 2018
I have on more than one occasion tried to se a movie only to find the Thunder Bay's ONLY theatre has pulled it only after a few weeks,AND in its place have put in movies that are played to death on tv, not fair since you chased out every other movie theatre in town. EX. Mama Mai, we tried a few times to see this movie but it was full, so we waited and only a few weeks later you pulled the movie, and replaced it with older movies that we can see anytime on tv, Thanks Silvercity you still suck,,, btw tell the ushers to acutally clean the theatre between movies, i was there a few weeks ago and it was disgusting, and the seats had grease all over them, about 7 of us had to move because we couldn't find a clean place to sit.

Does Cineplex even read this??

We went to the movies last week and we had noticed they had turned all the lobby lights off as we were walking out of the movie. So we had to walk into the lobby in dim lighting, which I thought was odd and not safe as we had people with us who needed assistance and lights would have been nice. Same goes for the parking lot, not one light on and it was pitch black out there, again unsafe and what would the reason would be to turn the parking lights off when people are still in the theatre??? You do know you're putting the people that pay to go the movies in a unsafe environment. Please keep the parking lights on till all the movies have been let out. We would like to see changes or do we have to make calls or write letters to the cineplex people?

Noisy dirty theater! People in thunder bay have NO ethics!?? Talking and using cell phones all through the movie, and NO ushers doing their jobs. You can't contact the management to complain !!!! Save your money, movie will be on Netflix soon enough.
