Tom Cruise`s worst film ever. I kept hoping at least for a reasonable ending, but was sadly disappointed. This was a collage of pathetic, hopeless emotion and pointless ambition. Perhaps Mr. Cruise`s only motivation to produce this film was in order to meet Ms. Cruz?

i really liked the Vanilla Sky! It was a great romantic,thriller type of movie. I found it hard to follow but overall and excellent movie and great performance from Tom,Cameron,Penelope,Jason,Noah,Kurt,and John. Thanks to Cameron Crowe for directing such an exciting film. You have to think about this movie way too much in order to appreciate it - that`s never good. The ending was so dumb. It didn`t fit the rest of the movie. It`s like, first you`re thinking, "ok, this isn`t as bad as everyone says - it`s actually pretty good". Then there`s a bit of confusion near the end, which gets perfectly cleared up - I mean, they walk you through each detail. If you don`t get it, I don`t know what to say. Anyways, although everything is cleared up, the ending is just plain stupid. I hated it at first. After much thought, I could appreciate the film as a whole, and not just the good start it had, but I still think

I went into the show, excited and talked 2 other couples to go with us, what a dissapointment. This is such a waist of anybody money, it is confusing, and the ending is even worse. Don`t waist your time.

This is certainly among the best movies of the year. Excellent acting. Plot is fabulous. Requires a little work on the part of the audience. Tom Cruises best work. I am definately going to see it again. My hunch is the second viewing will be better than the first.

pretty good movie with a dumb ending. you had to think too much afterwards in order to appreciate it. you have to be up for thinking if you want to see it. don`t have high expectations because it`s likely you`ll be disappointed. be prepared to be confused for awhile. however, everything gets cleared up at the end. overall, i gave it a three star rating.

Poor, gorgeous Tom Cruise. Yet another boring, uninspired performance. His bag of "acting" tricks is depleting rapidly. He even "flips out" again in this flick, to no avail. This is just Jerry MacGuire with a face mask.

It`s an interesting plot, but you need to rent "MEMENTO" first then you`ll get this movie. Not a "GREAT" film like MI2, but Diaz is a nasty tart worth watching. And it`s interesting to see Tom look so bad.

I don`t think this movie was good. I can see how people might think it is because of how it makes you try to put the story together and guess the ending, but most of it was confusing, especially towards the end.

For all those who think that there was something original in this movie, I recommend you see Open Your Eyes, that is if you don`t mind the subtitles. I do not understand why such a great story needed to be devolved into a Holywood peace of crap.

There seems to be two contrasting thoughts here, either you think it is a really good movie or you think it is crap. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I think the movie really kept me on the edge in trying to look for hints that would help piece together the puzzle. It had the elements of romance, thriller, science fiction and comedy. I think the strength of the movie is attributed the story. People who have seen the original spanish version may not like this movie given the similarity to the origional. People may not like it becuase of the ending, I think we probably was thinking about something more complicated. The o

All of you guys seemed to have missed the point here: this movie is not new, it is simply a remake of a Spanish film called Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes), which came out 2 years before the Matrix, therefore, not trying to imitate it. Although I liked the original Spanish version better, this film makes a good remake out of it. I am not surprised to see all the poor critics from North American audiences, simply because they are used to the usual junk Hollywood has brainwashed us with. Two thumbs up to Cruise and Crowe for making something different, for once.

This movie is great, with all these movies which are the same old hollwood pulp, it is nice to see something different. Cameron Crowe provides a vivid picture.

It`s story shares similarities to Jacob`s Ladder, The Sixth Sense, The Game and The Matrix. Technically, I suppose it`s good, however, something is missing from an entertainment point of view and it ends up being about as exciting to watch as a game of chess (I do play chess). I left the theatre actually feeling annoyed. Save your money on this one and rent one of the movies that I just listed instead.
