This was a very well put together movie. The ending was unexpected but done well. To have had everything the graphic novel had would've increased the length of this movie and while it was long, I don't feel it was too long. Not all superhero movies are action flicks, folks.

The movie was alright,a bit too long like everybody else has said. I guess the high light of the movie was when the 2 elderly ladies behind me kept saying "there it is again." Referring to the over kill view of the blue wang. Give me a break! ,at least Malin Ackerman's bare bottom made up for it. The movie had that nice dark feel to it. Too bad it just dragged along.

An amazing movie! It has a very original plot and manages not to drag on. The characters are all interesting and well developed. Overall, it is a very good film and highly recommended. Though you may want to read the graphic novel first before you watch it to get the full experiance.

This movie wasted too much time, from the rawn out opening scene, opening killing of the comedian, and the sexual scenes. Also this movie took 2:45 mins to say that mankind is ugly and will destroy itself, and by killing some you will save the rest. A fact that has come up in many movies even a speech about the pointlessness of crime fighting came from steven seagal in a movie. I never was into the comic, but i still didnt see the point of most of it.

Boring and long? Too philosophical and therefore boring? As a society we've apparently lost our ability to sit still longer than 60 minutes; lost our ability to think before we're interrupted by somethin going up in flames. If you went in expecting your typical superhero movie, then this is not it. There are things that could have been better, but that is not its length and it is certainly not its philosophical side. Those Watchmen cannot do without and should not. And get over yourselves. Has no one seen a penis? Manhattan is not human and not bound by human conventions. It's not even given as much screntime as people are talking about it. We're just more used to seeing breasts.

Okay people who haven't read the comic and cannot understand the movie are going to see it and then giving it bad reviews... this is an amazing movie.. and you should read the graphic novel.. its amazing too.

I've not read the comic fully yet. But I mus say that this movie was fantastically done. There are, of course, some differences between the comic and the movie, but honestly it's to be expected. The changes aren't that dramatic either and actually make more sense for the movie. A lot of people rag on the acting, however I believe the acting was well done within the confines of the characters. As for the pacing, it was done, in my humble opinion, perfectly. Just because it's a movie based on a comic doesn't mean it's got to be exploding with action, after all, The Comic itself doesn't explode with action, it tells a dramatic story enhanced by pictures, while the movie itself tells and acts ou

This move was just average. I understood everything, but it was just way too long. And the blue wang was a bit much. Yeaaaah!! for Bob Dylan and Simon and Garfunkel in the music though.. that was the only time I felt excited. If you have nothing else to do, then this is a fine movie for you.

Ok i do not understand what a vast amount of critics are seeing in this movie, giving it 4+ stars. The acting was substandard, characters that might have been ok in a comic book did not resonate live. However understanding of how a cult following started for this comic has happened as it provided im sure a lot of lonely men some self love.

The trailers did nothing for me; I ended up going to the movie with some friends "for something to do" and was totally blown away. This movie is not your average superhero movie; it is very heady and at times pokes fun at itself, and the alternate historical timeline is pretty fascinating. I've seen this movie twice now, and will buy the DVD the day it is released. If you like your movies with a healthy side dish of philosophy and irony, you'll dig Watchmen.

boring and long. I am surprised that true comic book fans seem to enjoy this. Way too philosophical and boring. Perhaps I was expecting a movie with energy.

4 stars a very good rating. A significantly good movie. If you like meaningful movies. A good movie overall. It was mellowly interesting at some parts not exactly the type of movie that keeps you off the edge of your seat throughout the movie, which is hard to achieve. 4 out of 5! You can put in on the good movies section.

The movie was pretty, lots of special effects, and the story made sence but damn it was boring. The violence was the only thing keeping me from walking out. I had no expectations. I think I might go see it again. I did not Lord of the Rings when I first saw it. But, after soaking it all in I ended up enjoying it.

one of the most profond action movies in a long time, it's a thinker and good for conversation after. A must see for anyone who likes their heroes a little more human, but the movie did drag on a little longer than your average hero flicks. I enjoyed it but I can see how someone expecting another "xmen" could find this a little too heavy.

I only heard about the Watchmen graphic novel and knew of the characters by their images not name. So I went in very open. I did enjoy the movie though in certain spots it did feel like 3 hours. But it made me go buy the novel and compare the two. Sure the movie styled it up but it was very close to what I am reading. If a movie can do that I say its worth while but not everyone's cup of tea. Still I'm sure it will end up in my DVD collection.

This was probably the worst movie in a long time for me. I didn't expect this movieto be that bad. It's my fault..I should have read the story line before going to see the movie. Anyway, I felt depressed after seeing this movie. Also, no need to see the blue genital for half the movie. The only think good about the movie is Malin Akerman...Grrrr!

I thought this was a very well done movie. It is about the ugliness of humanity and it depicts it well. Not all hero's are perfect. You have to be older to appreciate this type of movie.

This was dreadful, depressing and disturbing. I have never seen such a cruel and mindless movie. There is no story line and it is very confusing. On top of that, they show very awful things that NO ONE should ever have to see.

I dont know how anyone could say they liked this movie. 3 hours of little action, a story that didnt know what it wanted to do and blue mans genitals. By the end there was probably half the audience left in the theatres. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I can see why some people may not like it, as it is very graphic. If your not offended by profanity, nudity, etc. this is a must see. 5 STARS!
