Galaxy Cinemas Brantford

The first all-digital projection cinema in the Cineplex Galaxy chain, this eight-screen multiplex opened in November 2008 at the Brantford Commons. The 31,000 square-foot theatre is also the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified cinema in Canada, build with a design that uses energy efficient materials to reduce electricity, water and gas consumption. For instance, there is a reflective white roof that reduces heat levels and minimizes the need for air conditioning. The theatre also installed bicycle racks for employees and patrons. Other features include stadium rocker seating for more than 1,600 guests, curved screens and a Zero Gravity family entertainment centre featuring interactive video games.
