Cineplex Cinemas Coquitlam and VIP
Featuring more screens than any other Famous Players cinema, the Silvercity Coquitlam has been one of BC’s premiere moviegoing locations since opening in 1998. The multiplex can seat more than 4,500 residents from Greater Vancouver, and was one of the first theatres in Canada to install a DLP auditorium. Most recently, they expanded one of their screens into an UltraAVX cinema in April 2011. Last November, the theatre was packed with fans of Canadian band Hedley, who made a special guest appearance and played a set of their biggest hits for the adoring crowd.
