Cineplex Cinemas Empress Walk
Situated at the intersection of Yonge Street and Empress avenue in the North York Centre area of Toronto, this theatre has the longest unsupported escalator in North America. The 3035-seat Cineplex Entertainment movie multi-plex opened in 1997 and features an IMAX Theatre, Stars and Strollers, two Party Rooms, 10 screens and 4 Real D 3D Screens. Best place to park: This complex offers underground parking – the entrance is off Hillcrest avenue, one block south of Empress Avenue. The theatre offers parking validation up to three hours. The third to fourth hour is $1.00, after that, regular rates apply. Nearby restaurants include Wendy’s, Milestones, Subway, Second Cup, Starbucks, Jack Astor’s, Dairy Queen, Pizza Pizza and Ichiban Sushi House.
