When this 8-screen theatre opened in the summer of 2006, Milton’s mayor Gordon Krantz was the first man to buy a ticket. Years later, it is still the premiere moviegoing hotspot for the suburb west of Mississauga. Equipped with a birthday party room and a family entertainment centre to entertain children, as well as a Far Coast coffee with a sitting area for teens and adults to sip and talk, there’s plenty to do beyond watching the latest first-run films. Located just off of Highway 401, the movie house serves one of Canada’s fastest-growing communities by becoming a major supporter of local community events. Tickets for its grand opening gala, for instance, helped to support the United Way of Milton.
