Cineplex Odeon Devonshire Mall
Although the Devonshire Mall Cinemas was built by Cineplex Odeon in 1999 to rival the nearby Famous Players Silvercity, Cineplex Entertainment can lay claim to both of the cinemas today. A small drive from the Canada-U.S. border, Devonshire Mall had a small movie theatre that closed when plans to build this multiplex were instated. Now, the big-screen moviegoing destination, located at the Southeast corner of the mall, normally gets business that rivals the Silvercity due to the mall's close proximity with Detroit. The theatre, with its colourful, funky modern décor, was also one of the first in Canada to offer 3D projection.
