Cineplex Odeon Morningside Cinemas
When the 11-screen multiplex on the corner of Highway 401 and Morningside opened on Christmas Day in 1997, it became one of the first 3 Cineplex Odeon theatres in Canada to feature stadium seating. Its mid-sized theates also include wide, curved screens and plenty of yummy concession options—but at a ticket price normally two to three dollars lower than at other nearby multiplexes. One popular signature of the theatre is James Loader, a senior who has been ripping the tickets at the Morningside 11 for many years. A Facebook group launched in 2010 as an appreciation for the ticket-ripping James has more than 10,000 members today, proving that superb customer service and a warm smile can go a long way in making a memorable moviegoing experience.
