Landmark Cinemas 24 IMAX Kanata
The 24-screen cinema ranks as the largest theatre in Ontario outside of the Greater Toronto Area. Once owned by AMC, it's located in the Kanata Entertainment Centrum sprawl, 15 minutes west of midtown Ottawa and just off of Highway 417, the massive multiplex opened in September 1999 and continues to be a vital entertainment option for the nearby suburbs. Amenities include nacho and hot dog concession items, cushy LoveSeats, surround sound and wall-to-wall screens. In October 2010, auditorium 13 turned into an IMAX cinema that can hold 536 guests at full capacity.
