Located not too far from the Winnipeg airport and the city's downtown core, this 14-screen Silvercity is the largest theatre in Manitoba, appropriate considering that it’s attached to the Polo Park Shopping Mall, the largest of its kind in the province, as well. While playing the hottest attractions, it has also recently started screening the Cineplex Classic Film Series, showing big-screen favourites the way they were meant to be seen. This summer, the Silvercity will debut a new, 433-seat IMAX auditorium, which will be the second of its kind in Manitoba and the first to screen first-release movies in IMAX 3D (the other cinema has to wait for prints to arrive from Vancouver and Toronto).
