TIFF parties hockey style

The Score: A Hockey Musical gala world premiere may have kicked off TIFF on Thursday night, but the party continued into the wee hours at the TIFF Opening Gala at the Liberty Grand.

Not surprisingly - given the premise of the opening night movie - the massive venue was decked out in Canadiana - specifically a hockey theme, including a vodka bar made of ice (and shaped like a hockey rink) as well as a rink-shaped dancefloor and the TIFF-themed cocktails were flowing.

Spotted were several of the stars of Score: A Hockey Musical – Noah Reid, Allie MacDonald, Marc Trottier, Chris Ratz and Dru Viergever, along with Toronto Maple Leafs Captain Dion Phaneuf, Brett Wilson from Dragons Den, Lisa Ray, and reportedly Morgan Spurlock and David Schwimmer.

The parties continue all weekend, including at the Tribute Lounges tonight, with actor/comedian Jamie Kennedy hosting an event at Ultra starting at 10pm, and Forest Park presenting an evening in honour of TIFF at Ultra on Saturday, hosted by Hayden Christensen and Tove Christensen.
