The film, starring Kristin Scott Thomas centres around an American journalist who, while researching an article on the Vel’d’Hiv Roundup in 1942 France, stumbles across the story of Sarah, a ten year old Jewish girl who desperately tried to save her younger brother from the police by locking him in a cupboard.
Sarah’s Key is set to screen at TIFF on Thursday at Roy Thomson Hall.
Just before the start of the festival on Thursday, it was reported that two other films – Casino Jack and Barney’s Version – have also been picked up.
