Ben Affleck hits The Town

Ben Affleck’s latest directorial effort The Town seems to be one of the most popular films of TIFF so far, judging by the length of the rush line at Roy Thomson Hall on Saturday night, and the number of fans waiting to catch a glimpse of the cast walking the red carpet.

Affleck, who directed, co-wrote and starred in the film, didn’t disappoint – greeting fans on the red carpet last night with wife Jennifer Garner, as well as co-stars Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Blake Lively, Rebecca Hill and Chris Cooper.

The crime thriller centres around four bank robbers as they are pursued by an FBI agent in Massachusetts, and according to filmgoers on Twitter, it didn’t disappoint, with viewers calling it a “wild ride” and a “mighty ensemble performance”.
