Blackbird is the first feature film by director Jason Buxton, but that doesn't mean he is going to start slow. Taking on the job of director, writer and producer, Buxton embodies 'go big or go home'. Tribute.ca sat down with the director and spoke to him about his research and casting TIFF Rising Star Connor Jessup.
With a career almost solely focused on short films, Blackbird will mark Jason's transition into feature filmmaking and with its creative plot, which Connor Jessup describes as "a very classic coming of age story in an interesting setting," we hope to see much more of this writer, producer and director in the near future.
