James Ponsoldt, director and writer of the drama Smashed, admits to Tribute.ca that he’s simply honored to be a part of TIFF this year. He also opens up about how he came up with the story of the film—it’s about an alcoholic couple whose relationship suffers when the wife decides to go sober.
