Jesse Eisenberg joins tonight's TIFF Boogie Nights Live Read

Jesse Eisenberg, 29, is joining the Boogie Nights Live Read at the Toronto International Film Festival. Boogie Nights follows the story of Dirk Diggler's venture into the porn industry in the 1970s and 1980s. “Boogie Nights was one of the most buzzed about films when it premiered at the festival in 1997,” Cameron Bailey, TIFF’s artistic director, said in a press release. “When Jason Reitman brought the Live Read of American Beauty to Toronto in 2012, there was excitement in the air — audiences knew they were participating in something special.” Eisenberg will read the leading role, originally played by Mark Wahlberg in the 1997 Paul Thomas Anderson flick. The cast was announced via Reitman's Twitter and includes Josh Brolin as Jack Horner, Olivia Wilde as Amber Waves, Dakota Fanning as Rollergirl and Jason Sudeikis as Buck Swope. It takes place tonight at the Ryerson theatre. ~Alfonso Espina
