The location:
SodaStream presents The Railway Man at Live at the Hive
The vibe:
Live at the Hive boasts a nice mix of airy spacious loft with hardwood floors and vintage furniture punctuated with soft candlelight and indirect lighting (basically all of my favourite things) - plus there's a hedged-in outdoor patio to allow for some cool night air without any prying eyes from the street or Brassaii's foot traffic.
Meanwhile, the patio boasted the film's hunky men: Jeremy Irvine and Colin Firth. Both seemed to be in great spirits talking to partygoers and having a laugh. (Firth looked particularly delicious in his dark framed glasses and classic black suit.)
Memorable moments:
Jeremy Irvine and Nicole Kidman signed a SodaStream Source machine to be auctioned off at the end of TIFF. The proceeds will be donated to Earth Day, in honour of the company's mandate to eliminate the bottle and save our planet.
Raiding the candy bar with Flare magazine's Andrew Lovesey and The Social's Lainey Liu - candy watches and sour watermelon slices for all!
Notable nibbles:
Though I didn't indulge, it seemed everyone was raving about the lobster bacon rolls; they may have stolen the spotlight from the night's stars at one point.
Cocktails consumed: A SodaStream mojito - bubbly and fresh!
