Tom Hanks, who stars in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, showed up on the red carpet sporting a new beard for an upcoming role, looking very different from his appearance as Mr. Rogers in this film. Joining him were a number of his castmates, including Matthew Rhys, who plays jaded journalist Lloyd Vogel. The two shared a hug on the red carpet.
Enrico Colantoni, who plays Mr. Rogers' longtime friend and associate, Bill Isler, was on hand to show his support. He also took the time for an emotional and heartfelt camera interview with us today at TIFF to talk about the film.
Susan Kelechi Watson, who plays Lloyd's wife Andrea, was a standout in a beautiful purple gown. Chris Cooper, who plays Lloyd's father, and director Marielle Heller also walked the red carpet.
