Director Malou Reymann and Emilie Kroyer Koppel, who plays Maren in the Danish drama Unruly, talk with Alexandra Heilbron about the film at TIFF. Malou reveals that she decided to write and direct a film about female institutions set in the 1930s because it had never been done and she felt it was a story that needed to be heard, while Emilie talks about how strong she felt Maren (pronounced 'Maan') was and how the setting and costumes helped her get into character.
