New Zealanders Rachel House and child actor Terence "Ted" Daniel came to TIFF to promote their new movie, The Mountain, about three children - Sam, Bronco and Mallory - who go on a dangerous trek to reach the top of a mountain in an effort to save Sam's life. Rachel talks to Alexandra Heilbron about how The Mountain, her first feature length film, came to be and how she found the three young actors to play the starring roles. Ted reveals his favorite scene and the most surprising thing about making a movie.
The Mountain plays at TIFF on Thursday, September 12 at 3:30 p.m. at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto and on Saturday September 14 at 1:00 p.m. at TIFF Lightbox.
