In the official trailer for A Cure for Wellness, dark, menacing music plays as a voiceover states, "There is a sickness inside us rising like the bile that leaves that bitter taste at the back of our throats." A young man (Dane Dehaan) is featured, and soon after the voiceover stops, it's revealed that he'll be sent to Switzerland to retrieve his boss from a wellness spa.
As the visually enticing trailer continues, we're given a tour of the spa and introduced to its visitors (or patients). One girl informs Dane's character that no one ever leaves. Before he knows it, he's admitted to the spa and is recommended a treatment for a car accident he's involved in.
Unsettling images of disfigured infants and troubled people highlight the end of the haunting trailer.
