The official teaser trailer for All Eyez on Me opens with the FBI raiding a young Tupac Shakur's house. The FBI manhandles his mother and demands that she get down. His mother later explains to him that all black men have a bullseye on their back. She also tells him: "They are gonna give you the tools that you need to destroy yourself," as footage of briefcases filled with cash, strippers and men with guns are shown.
His mother channels Shakespeare as she tells Tupac "to thine own self be true." We see Tupac in front of a captivated audience his mother's voice is heard saying "Let me see your spirit." The trailer ends with a voice sayin,g "You said, and I quote, 'If they kill me, I want the people to know the real story.'"
