'Beautiful Boy' Trailer

In the trailer for Beautiful Boy, Dave Sheff (Steve Carrell) asks his son Nic (Timothée Chalamet) over lunch how he's doing. It soon becomes clear that the boy has an addiction problem and he feels like a disappointment. We then see Dave on the phone, reporting that his son has gone missing. We see earlier, happier times of Dave and Nic. Dave can't understand why Nic has taken this route. Nic reveals that when he first took drugs, he felt better than he ever had, so he kept doing it. Dave grows increasingly frustrated as he realizes he can't help Nic.
