In the second trailer for Brightburn, when a meteorite crashes near the home of the Breyers (Elizabeth Banks and David Denman), a childless couple in Brightburn, Kansas, they soon discover that it is in fact a space pod carrying a young child. Seeing it as a blessing, they take in the child to raise as their own and name him Brandon (Jackson A. Dunn). As he grows older, Brandon discovers super human abilities and begins using them for sinister purposes against a town that has ostracized him.
