In this brief (and nearly dialogue-free) Festival trailer for the Canadian film Closet Monster, we're shown glimpses of Oscar Madly's past. As a baby, he's seen playing with his mother. As a young boy, he's embraced by his father. But hints of darkness filter through as a snippet of a brutal crime flashes on the screen.
As the trailer moves along and it's established that the film is set in small town Newfoundland, Oscar (Connor Jessup) is now a teenager. Images of him in a costume at a party are depicted and it's suggested that a coming-of-age story is unfolding. The final look at the trailer features Oscar lying down next to another teen boy, who asks him, "Did you feel anything?"
