It's been 30 years since Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) was bullied by Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Johnny decides to start up a karate dojo, named Cobra Kai, after the one he trained at when he was a teenager. His first student is his neighbor, Miguel, who has been picked on by bullies. Daniel can't believe Johnny has brought Cobra Kai back, so he starts up the Miyagi-Do, to teach kids not only how to protect themselves, but to defend others. His first student? Johnny's estranged son, Robby (Tanner Buchanan).
