The trailer for Kings opens up in Los Angeles, 1992. Millie (Halle Berry) is driving past a police car with lights flashing when she spots a young black man with his hands up against a wall. She stops the car, gets out and berates the young man, slapping him and pushing him into her car as the police say, "Hey! What are you doing?" She drives off. We see her at home, surrounded by kids as she takes in another foster child. Her neighbor complains about the noise the kids create, but as we soon discover, his bark is worse than his bite.
